Dessilani wines have been awarded numerous prizes both in Italy and abroad. Our wines have been listed in the most prestigious guide-books for years: Gambero Rosso from 2000, Luca Maroni, Veronelli, Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate have listed us among the most interesting and emerging wine producers.
Gambero Rosso 2003 guide-book wrote about us: “This is a significant year for the production of wine in North Piedmont. For the first time in fact a wine coming from this land, the Fara Caramino, has been awarded the ‘Tre Bicchieri’. A prize that rewards an area which is growing fast in terms of quality and a company, the one run by the clever Enzio Lucca, which well represents this development.”
Luca Maroni in the Guida dei vini Italiani 2003 (Guide-book to Italian Wines 2003) wrote about us: “Here you will find the ability to supply modern, up-to-date and technically avant garde versions of the great classical Piedmontese wines. Wines which well blend spice persuasions, balsamic smoothness through controlled evolutions, taste – aromas of fruit, untouched by a spoiling science of wine making.”.
Luigi Veronelli has been following us for years with particular affection, giving our wines the most respectable marks: the Fara Lochera 2000 has in fact been awarded this year the tre stelle, the highest prize.
We have also been taking part in the most important national and international wine competitions and the results obtained reward the Dessilani family’s hard work, commitment and passion: Fara Caramino, Fara Lochera, Nebbiolo, Ghemme and Sizzano were the most prized wines at the World Wine Competition in Brussels, at the Competition linked with Vinitaly, at the Douja d’Or and at the Calice d’Oro.
